And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

The Christmas play. A new violin. My birthday. A new year coming. Christmas baking. Those are our December happenings this year. Not including regular school and church. We had our annual Christmas play at church Monday evening. This year it was about Corrie Ten Boom. I think it went well. There were a few 'minor' mistakes, but hey, we only had 5 practices. For so few practices we did quite well! It is only 2 days till Christmas! Today we made cookies and frosted them. It kept the kids happy and busy. My birthdya was on the 17th, and on the 18th my parents took me to Lexington. We went to visit a friend who has a violin repare shop. They surprised me with a new vioin! Talk about a surprise! I am blessed with my parents who love God and care about me and siblings, and raise us to serve God. I can hardly believe a whole year has passed by So much has happened, yet so little has happened. I will post some pictures now. Enjoy! Merry Christmas! ~Sveta~ I found Hope's blog through another blog I follow. Hope is 14 years old, and was diagnosed with cancer. Her faith in God is amazing. She has challenged me. I encourage that you leave an encouraging comment on her blog. Please pray for Hope.
This is some of her first post, in November, right after she had the cancerous mass removed from her brain: "Last week I turned 14 years old. I have lived with migraines for quite some time but they started getting worse and worse. Sometimes they were so bad that I couldn't stand up or see anything. My doctor wouldn't do anything. He gave me painkillers. Randomly I was in a car crash. I ended up going in to hospital to get checked out. Whilst there I had a terrible headache and they did some scans thinking I could have somehow damaged my head in the crash. They found a 'mass' on my brain - nothing to do with the crash. It was horrible to be in the car crash, but hey, the hospital wouldn't have done the tests if i hadn't gone in. So maybe in an odd way it did help. Things were hazy for a while. I think they were giving me lots of drugs. After a few days I was sent for an operation on my brain. Mum says I was in surgery for over six hours. Doctors removed the mass and I woke up in a hospital ward where I am now. So that is how I ended up in hospital. You have no idea how good it feels to get that all out of my very sore brain! " Hope's Cancer Diary We have all been busy practcing for our annual Christms play at church. This year it is about Corrie Ten Boome. It is very good, and I think it will turn out well. Hope you enjoy the pictures, and I will be posting again when I get the chance. ~Sveta~
